This course will provide many opportunities to consolidate your current skills, and to learn lots of new ones!
Sample Programme
Day 1
This day will be based at a single pitch venue. Day one will focus on Climbing Equipment, Basic Ropework and will look at coaching your own movement skills whilst on the rock, looking at balance, footwork, weight transfer, resting and controlling anxiety.
Day 2
Day two will focus on more of the technical aspects of Rock Climbing. We will take a detailed look at Climbing Equipment, how to place and remove it, how to build and tie into anchors and how to set up bottom and top ropes.
Day 3
This is the first multipitch day of the course. Climb with one of our instructors as they demonstrate and teach you how to climb safely in a multipitch environment.
Day 4
Another multipitch climbing day. This day will focus on consolidating the skills already learnt, focusing particularly on Stance Management, Building belay anchors and climber communication. Simple problem solving will also be covered on this day.
Day 5
Multipitch Climbing. The final day is an opportunity to review all we have covered throughout the week, and to hone these skills for when you leave. This will all be done climbing multipitch routes.
NOTE: Where appropriate, clients may be Lead Climbing on Days 4 and 5.
At the end of the course your instructor will give you a de-brief and send you away with a realistic action plan so you can achieve your own goals and adventures in the future.
